Annual international children’s book illustration challenge using word prompts to illustrate folktales - both real and imagined.

The official 2023 prompts were Lost, Sea, Ink, Sleep, Underground, Illusion, Found.

Inspired by a gravestone in Ross Bay Cemetery, Victoria BC, for this year’s challenge, I created a visual tale of love lost at sea, and a last letter found by an unusual messenger.
